Easthampstead Park is a Grade II Victorian Mansion set in 60 acres of land and gardens. It has a very colourful history. dating back to the 7th Century when it was a Royal Hunting Lodge and famously. where Henry VIII first met his future wife. Katherine of Arragon. She was later banished back here when she ran out of favour with the King. The mansion was then a private residence until after the 2nd world war when it was bought by the local council and became a college and then finally a conference centre in the 1990. It sits on the edge of Peacock Meadows and is within easy reach of the commercial areas of Bracknell. Reading and Slough and leisure attractions such as Windsor. Oxford and the Surrey/Hampshire borders. Active Hospitality bought the site from the council in 2018 and this year. started a 9.5m renovation. n nThe renovation has sympathetically enhanced and reinstated many original features of the building and has also taken a floor which was previously office space and turned this into deluxe and suite bedrooms. The main lounge. restaurant. bar. orangery and all meeting rooms have all been renovated as has the main reception. corridors and cloakroom. together with adding an brand new second restaurant.The outside grounds have all been re-bedded with extensive work on the terrace including new balustrades. decking and furniture. n nThere is a second smaller building which was previously known as the Whitworth building. an art deco style and also used as office space. We have again renovated this space. renaming as Hepburn House and created 27 feature bedrooms and a large gym facility and linked it to the main house by a Y shaped bridge.
